Trying to grow a horse chestnut bonsai. All the leaves have recently started to look diseased. Plant GP said it might under fertilised. Any suggestions?

Seems to be growing something in the middle? I would remove some of the older leaves, check to see if it is root bound, check the soil for proper draining and give it more indirect light (not sure where you have him) looks like some burn and some dryness? I would give it fertilizer as a last resort.
