I found that on some of my plant soil too I was wondering what it is. I was just thinking it was some sort of mineral residue?

Just had the same thing on my pothos. Turns out it’s a harmless mold. You can scrape it off or leave it. Just a sign that it might be getting to much water.  
I was so afraid it was eggs at first😬but it’s nothing to worry about
