Could be over watering or wet feet. My thaumatophyllum stenolobum showed similar symptoms from wet feet. I had the 4inch pot in a small glass jar to catch run off. Roots grew out the bottom and tapped into the jar of excess water because the soil dried out quickly. Repotting to a larger pot and soil that held more moisture fixed it. The new leaves look normal. No more yellow spots.

This plant has been the stitch in my side 😂 It has taken me FOREVER to get it to a place where I feel like he’s finally starting to thrive and not just be 2 days from death all the time.

Mine had been doing the same (lots of new growth, but everything was yellowing and sad all the time). Tried everything, more light/less light, repot, watering, etc. It finally got so bad I had to chop the whole plant and propagate.

Since putting it back into soil, I put it in a terracotta pot (to help with any moisture) and strictly under a grow light for 10 hours a day and it is loving life. That yellowing your plant is showing has stopped, his leaves are finally getting the deep green color and shape they should have. And the new growth is coming in much healthier looking.
