# Hi! I attempted to rescue this Alocasia silver sword from clearance.…

Hi!  
I attempted to rescue this Alocasia silver sword from clearance. She had one leaf, which Planta said had leaf rot. Her roots look good and she looks like she has one or two new leaves wanting to grow. The stem is also green and firm. I trimmed the dead part of the leaf, sprayed her with neem oil and put her in water but she keeps turning more yellow. Can I save her?

I would cut her down to the base, that’s what I did when my alocasia came in really overwatered during shipping. And 3 months later she’s doing great.
