Check for spider mites. Do a smear test with white paper.

Something similar happened with mine! Has anything about its environment changed drastically recently?

The only thing that has changed was it’s location. It isn’t much of a drastic difference as far as sunlight but for some reason every plant I have put in this location has died. A peace Lily that was thriving also died in a similar way years ago. It’s on the harth of my fireplace

My Fiddle Leaf Fig hates to be moved. Same thing happened to mine after I moved it a year or two ago. It was stressed then got spider mites. Little white dots on back side of leaves. I sprayed them immediately and thought the whole plant was going to die. I cut one side back because it had no leaves. I wish I had not cut it down so short because it was alive and started growing leaves again. The discoloured leaves never fully changed back to the dark green they were but she is alive!
