It looks like it’s a mushroom maybe? I’ve had my cactus outside forever and one morning I found a mushroom had grown in the pot literally overnight. I looked into it and found out it’s not bad and that you can just pluck it out. This happened to me over a year ago and my plant is still thriving. I hope this helps

It looks like it has a flowerpot parasol (Leucocoprinus birnbaumii) growing in the pot. This mushroom doesn’t harm living plant tissue luckily and they’re rather common growing together with houseplants. For the most part you don’t have to do anything, but if you start to notice that the mycelium grows a lot and clogs the pot and affects the drainage you’ll have to repot them.

I had one in my thimble cactus pot also and I use the same gritty soil. I was guessing it was because of all the humidity recently but surprising to grow in such a dry soil.
