# What am I doing wrong? We water everyday like this app reminds me to…

What am I doing wrong? We water everyday like this app reminds me to and it’s still dying. I’m so frustrated! We have another one on the other end of our garden and it’s thriving. Both were planted a day apart, bought from the same spot, and get the same amount of water, yet only this one is dying. Help!

Do you water everyday because the plants needs it, or because the Planta app tells you to? Sometimes, it might help to check the soil prior to watering to ensure you’re not overwatering or under watering the plant. I can’t say this looks overwatered, but something to check.

Thank you for replying. If it’s rained, we don’t water it. If it’s extra hot, we make sure to check the dirt and water it. The other plant has the same amount of water, is in the same area and is doing just fine.

They have quite sensitive roots so transplant shock and acclimation stress can also affect it even when watering it well. I also think the Planta notifications are adapted for plants grown in pots?

Do you know a better app I could use? I am desperate to be a good plant/garden person. My mom helps when she can as well.
