# Hey guys do you think my aloe is sick or there is something wrong…

Hey guys do you think my aloe is sick or there is something wrong with it? It was on clearance because it was slightly dying so I bought it a few weeks ago and it was going well but now it looks like the leaves are slightly turning orange in some areas:( not sure if this is normal :/ I’m a new plant mom so I’m still learning 😭

check the soil to see if he’s been over/underwatered and remember sometimes it just happens :-) sometimes plants shed dead leaves just like we do with hair

I’m scared to over water it bc I don’t want it to get root rot and my window is east facing one so they don’t get too much direct Sun (maybe like 2 hours then they pretty much just in normal day light right in front of the window ). And I know with aloes you don’t want to over water it but I’m just lost of what I should do or test first :( thank you for the guidance though :)

Aloe is super resilient! I had one die but it had a new one growing on the side of it that is doing great! I agree that you should check if it’s been over/underwatered and if it’s been overwatered make sure to give it new soil. Then, just follow plantas advice and it’ll be fine.

I repotted it right when I got it about 2 and a half weeks ago :( you think I should do it again just in case or will that hurt the plant

This is what it looked like on june 24th :( you think it’s possible that the sun was too strong on it at first?

I’m not convinced that’s aloe. Looks like a hawthoria

When I bought it it said on the label aloe, to be honest never seen an aloe like that but I’m not sure :(

Mine is just barely coming back! I’m trying to establish a good watering schedule for it. I do see a similar texture on the leaves but because it’s so small still I can’t tell if it’s quite the same.
