# Hi everyone! My Golden Pothos had been doing amazing since I’ve…

_Publicado por fatima and esai 🤍 el 2023-06-28_

Hi everyone! My Golden Pothos had been doing amazing since I’ve gotten it a couple months ago however recently it’s seemed to get droopy and a couple of leaves turned yellow. I used the feature on this app and saw that it could be a drainage issue so I’m on a treatment plan. I am going to change the potting mix but I’m not sure wether or not the type of pot is also an issue. I believe it’s ceramic but I know there’s a ton of different pots, should I change the pot as well please help!

How do the roots look? How does the soil feel?

I haven’t checked the roots yet since I need to go out and get some soil but the soil does feel wet and I watered about 4 days ago

In my experience, yellowing of leaves is from over watering, root rot, or being too root bound. My guess is you need some dry soil, and then from there only water after the soil feels dry about an inch down into the soil. Good luck and I totally think you can save this baby!

Oh and I also have been moving my plants into plastic nursery pots because they tend to have more holes, then I put that pot into a prettier pot!

I get the clear plastic pots(they are cheap like $20 for a big set of multi sizes) from Amazon and plant all mine in those because it’s so nice to take it out of its pretty pot and u see more of what’s going on. Also u can see if there is moisture or if it needs watering. It’s cool watching the roots grow too imo then back to the deco pot it goes. It makes it easier since I had a black thumb!

Great idea!Love the idea of being able to check the roots this way!

It’s really cool! It helps so much with watering, I can see the moisture or if it’s dry. LOVE IT 😍 there are mostly 2 different kinds. The thinner ones are cheaper. For just a little more u can get the others that are like a a normal pot plastic nursery pot. If u can, get the second one. They are the best!😂 I didn’t know when I started. The clear are 💯 better imo and u can see more. The pic is what the better ones look like. I hope it helps!

Clear nursery pots.. Also chunky soil and I let mine dry completely and then soak it …
