# Hi fellow plant people! I have a question about my potted loquat…

Hi fellow plant people! I have a question about my potted loquat tree. I noticed these tiny “ants” crawling on it, and on closer observation, saw some aphids. It’s on a third floor balcony in Houston, TX facing south.

Would the best plan of attack for the aphids be neem oil? Has anyone else had this same problem and have a good solution? Thanks for your help!

I would start by trying to blast off the pests with water (if possible). If you can’t do that I’d try insecticidal soap. Good luck!
