# Hi everyone! New plant mom here and I just can’t get this sweet baby…

Hi everyone!  
New plant mom here and I just can’t get this sweet baby back to how he used to look. I’ve tried everything from repotting to fertilizing (advice from another plant mom) and he still looks so sad :( can anyone help??

you probably shouldn’t have fertilised yet, but it’s too late now.. under fertilised is always better than over fertilised. it needs lots of sun, but not too much water. let the soil dry out, but water DEEPLY (until water comes out of the drainage hole) when you water. honestly, unless it was rootbound in its old pot, in could be down potted. this pot seems a little too big

I noticed there’s water in the terracotta tray. Was he just watered or does he sometimes keep water at the bottom for over an hour or so?

It might be sensitive to fluoride or lime in the water. Might try watering with rainwater or distilled

I’d be careful with watering and be patient with him. The repotting was probably very stressful and when a plant’s stressed or sick, you shouldn’t fertilize them. I’d just give him time. 🤞🏼
