# Hey guys! So I am trying to get more plant supplies and I’m trying to…

_Geplaatst door LearningPlantMom op 2023-06-24_

Hey guys! So I am trying to get more plant supplies and I’m trying to figure out the best:

Succulent soil to buy
Orchid soil to buy
Perlite to buy
Chunky soil to buy

Any tips/material I should look into?

For chunky soil, I find that making my own gives me the chunkiness I want and is cheaper. I buy pine park or coco chips, perlite, charcoal, and coco peat and combine in parts as needed for my aroids (ex: more coco peat in the ratio for anthuriums than for philos).

Thanks! Any specific brand?

I find it always better to buy individual ingredients and make your own mix. I use ChatGPT to find the best composition for my specific plants
