# Need some help with a few plants. We got the citronella and mint…

Need some help with a few plants. We got the citronella and mint recently and they look terrible. They feel really dry and brittle. We cut back on watering because we thought they were getting too much. The leaves were droopy like this before now they’re just dry. Please help! I’d love to get my mosquito plant back outside, as it actually deterred moths for me! Lol

it needs more water, but it might already be too far gone

It could have been shock when you first got it (changing environment, if it was sheltered in the garden center right to full sun on your patio) they take some time to adjust and should be done gradually over a week or so. Then these guys love water and soil needs to stay moist - that top layer looks dry, definitely time to water. I hope you can save it!

Thank you! I don’t think so! We gave them a healthy dose of water today and they perked up a lot. Keeping them inside and putting them out for a little while until we can work up to it. Added some rocks to the top for now to keep moisture in but I’m hopeful!
