# I need help- my snake plant just dropped a leaf. The others look…

I need help- my snake plant just dropped a leaf. The others look totally alright, so I’m not that worried, but I want to know what caused it to prevent it in the future. Also, my Peace Lily has been dropping flowers faster that rain. The leaves have some dry black tips, but otherwise they are doing pretty good. They are standing tall, and both my Peace Lily get bright, indirect afternoon sun. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

From the snake plant leaf it looks a little yellow and if that leaf is squishy it’s overwatered so water it once every month. The peace Lilly needs lots of sun and watered once a week

The leaf I took off the snake plant is very very dry. What does that mean? Also, my peace Lily gets bright indirect sun all afternoon.

Typically when I see black tips it can be in too much sun. With warmer weather approaching it may cause burn to your leaves. Instead of having it close in the window maybe have it on a table near it or close. If it’s too far away it could be mean it’s not getting enough sun. A lot of these issues your dealing with is water/sun ratio.

I also like to grade my plants soil once in awhile to help with oxygen flow and when I need to fertilize. Helps absorb better and my plants breathe instead being all compacted.
