I have a Pilea and it was watered a few days ago. I pulled the plant out of its pot just to take a look at the roots and I noticed they were on the browner and softer side and I just want to know if that’s due to being watered. I don’t water very often and I let it dry out almost completely before watering again and nothing seems to be wrong with the plant. It’s thriving! Does this seem normal?

If they seem almost slimmy and/or smell bad it could be a sign of root rot. If the plant still has healthy looking roots you can cut the brown ones

I wouldn’t say they’re slimy and it doesn’t smell at all and none of the leaves are bad. The roots just aren’t white and crispy like online says they are suppose to be.
