# Hi, doe anyone know some tricks to keeping my Dracaena looking good…

Hi, doe anyone know some tricks to keeping my Dracaena looking good and healthy. The first pic is when I brought her home. I did have a problem of not enough drainage. I corrected that. She seemed to bounce back. But now she is getting brown spots. Do I need to use filtered water? How dry do you  
let the soil get between watering. Any help will be great!!! This is my second. Lost one I recused in winter.( kept it alive for a yr. But not that lush) I am in love with these plants.

Mine has responded better to filtered water, it has helped with browning. I also let the soil dry completely and when I water I have found she wants less than I think she does. I feel your pain tho, these hate me too.

Before Planta, I used a moisture meter. This helped with watering, but still had the same problem then realized I needed additional lighting, so I added a grow light for tall plants. It is thriving so well! New modes are growing on the stalk! Gorgeous and green!
