Got a hoya retusa thatd had aphids for a year now, I repotted completely with new soil and pot. Any other tips, what insecticide should I use?

You can shower it with a stronger jet of water to remove some of them. A soapy water spray also works rather well to kill them. Just make sure to use a mild or horticultural soap
