# Hi all! I got this bromeliad a few months ago has been doing well…

Hi all! I got this bromeliad a few months ago has been doing well until recently. It is currently in a south facing window and shows leaves yellowing. Along with the yellowing, only the half of the plant facing the window has its pink color. The soil is also very stiff and hard even after watering. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do?

Sounds like your soil is compacted (not enough aeration) OR it’s rootbound

With your description of the soil, it might benefit from repotting!

It needs ether more fertilizer or less sun
