It may be due to overwatering, disease, or nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. Make sure to fact check these opinions.

It’s also common for them to lose some of the older smaller leaves when recently moved to new growing conditions, like lower humidity or light

Make sure you aren’t over watering, and maybe give it more light as well.

Also make sure you are watering your calatheas with distilled water. They will start to yellow and not be able to absorb water if using tap water due to a sensitivity of lime mineral in tap water. It will start to slowly build up around the roots and suffocate it until it appears your plant is constantly thirsty regardless of how much you water it.
