# I am using a neem oil insecticide/fungicide to treat my dwarf fiddle…

I am using a neem oil insecticide/fungicide to treat my dwarf fiddle leaf fig that has mealy bugs. Am I supposed to mist/spray down the plant and leaves with water a few minutes after applying or just leave it be?

I believe you just leave it be and keep the plant out of direct sunlight for a bit, maybe a day. I use a different brand but that’s what I read.

For mealys you need alcohol, it burns them and leaves a smell that repels them. Neem is just a preventative.
