# Rest in pieces, wobble cactus 😔 It was doing just fine and then…

Rest in pieces, wobble cactus 😔 It was doing just fine and then today I found it droopy and shriveled. Does anyone know what might’ve gone wrong?

Hopefully I can propagate the remaining healthy bits.

You can use all those arms to propagate into new cacti! 🌵  
Stick the down in a gritty soil mix and hold back on watering them. When they’ve grown roots you can move them to your brightest locations and start watering them.  
This can happen for several reasons: drought, lack of light, overwatering and false spider mites for example.  
Make sure they get full sun, are planted in well draining soil (containing mostly grit such as pumice or similar horticulture gravel), is watered on a regular basis but also allowed to dry out completely between waterings.

Thank you! I was able to salvage several of the cactus pieces to propagate.
