# I’ve got this mini monstera that seems to be getting worse and worse…

I’ve got this mini monstera that seems to be getting worse and worse despite getting enough light and water. Any ideas?

It looks like the picture but a lot sadder now. It used to be a full plant.

It’s inches from a heater vent? Could that be it?

There is a heater nearby (30cm away) but I have it marked as being near one. I can move it more to the corner so like 50cm away

Mine is also near a heater but is doing very well, have you looked at the roots yet to see how those look

No mold or mushiness but that was a few weeks ago - I’ll check again. The neighbor plant had fungus gnats hence the sticker but it has died since then

Mines growth has slowed down a little since I began watering it a little less and it being colder but otherwise shes doing good. How often do you water/ how much?

I water when the app tells me and it has an inner pot so I water then let it drip then put it back in its pot

Mine prefers moist soil so that’s one of the few plants I don’t have super great drainage on, maybe shes just not getting quite enough water, especially if it’s near a heater it’s going to need a lot more water. I have a pair of hibiscus I brought in for the summer that I have to bottom water almost every other day to keep the plant from drying out

Ah I’ll keep a closer eye - might also move her to a spot with a bit more sun/daylight in winter time. Really wish the app would adjust the amount of hours with location / seasons.
