What is this 😭 I know everyone says mealybugs but I haven’t seen any bugs and I don’t really see cotton stuff. I did have mealybugs on one plant. I treated them and then suddenly all my plants are dying and have sooty mold.
Both my home and office plants. Mine at home, you can’t even see anything except that major damage.

Is the picture of the plant that had mealybugs? Because those fluffy things generally are mealybugs. They don’t move much

This is an office plant that I have no idea. I did have a house plant that had it (I’m assuming I brought them to my office).
This one seems like mealy right? But my ones at home have not one sign except the rapid deterioration. All of them 😂 im so confused 🤔
I was thinking is there a soil mealybug. I saw one a while ago and I did see the cotton fluff. But this time, nothing. Wouldn’t I have seen a bug by now?
The one I did see before, there was no mistaking it 😂 it was huge

Mealybugs actually can travel on clothing so its totally possible you brought them into your office. But every environment is different and mealybugs could just be more around near the office. Kevin made a good point about them hiding in crevices. If I were you, I would take the plant and hose it down, and get a neem oil based spray, and just cover the plant in it. My pothos had an awful infestation after bringing it home. Luckily, I got rid of them with concentrated neem oil.

Definitely looks like mealy residue / fluff. They're very hard to find and like to hide in the crevices and new growth of the plant where you can't see them
