# Hi! I recently acquired a large money tree that isn’t doing so well…

Hi! I recently acquired a large money tree that isn’t doing so well in its new home. It’s placed about 5 feet from a south facing window that gets a ton of great light in the morning and early afternoon. Sometimes direct and sometimes in direct. The leaves have black/brown and pale/nude spots on them, some are losing their green pigment overall. I’ve watered it once since I got it when the soil was feeling super dry. Otherwise I’ve tried to leave it alone as to not stress it out any further. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you! 🌱

My money tree is technically in a west area of my living room and only gets light from the front door window west and what comes in to the living room from the east/south windows far away from it. It sits back like 8’ from that west window too. And it’s thriving there with zero direct light ever. For what it’s worth.

We have ours about 10 feet from the south facing windows ( we have a lot) but it is not directly in the sun at all.
