The roots look good. The infection doesn’t show on the roots. The soil is mostly dry. It’s barely damp in the center. I tore apart the soil and found nothing. It went from healthy to dropping many leaves on less than a week. I can't manage to get the mealies out of this one. Then it bloomed like this to buy itself some time. They are tenacious. My backyard lizards and tree frog populations are down from the 4 days of snow we got in south Texas. So, the mealybugs are extra right now. I sometimes forget about it and it gets a little dry. But, it perks up after watering. I would definitely buy another one. I have one in a two inch tiny pot that got too dry nd can’t recover. Operator error.😆 Try a Hoya Chouke. It’s a cross between a Mathilde and a Carnosa. Fast growing. Easy care. Thrives in bright morning sunlight or filtered southern sunlight Leaves are much smaller than a Carnosa and slightly larger than a Mathilde. The pics show growth progress. It’s still in its 4” pot.
