# My dieffenbachia’s newest leaf looks like it’s trying to unfurl but…

My dieffenbachia’s newest leaf looks like it’s trying to unfurl but hasn’t pushed out the leaf all the way. It’s been like this for a few months. Any way to help it along?

You could put an appropriately sized ziploc bag over the top of it to increase the humidity! I’ve found this helps unstick things.

I have also done frequent misting or gently wrap it with a wet paper towel in similar cases.

Sit plant on a pebble tray or put a humidifier next to the plant. Or sometimes you could slightly mist that one leaf.
