# First time treating root rot and im so anxious 😭 I could tell there…

First time treating root rot and im so anxious 😭  
I could tell there was a bit of root rot even at the nursery but I was feeling over confident lol after the operation there were a ton of healthy looking roots left so i took that as a good sign, however the base of the roots felt brittle so i was terrified of snapping the whole root system off! I tried to add a second moss pole once repotted, but i heard a crunch sound when i pushed down and was sooo scared that i was snapping the roots off 🥲  
Anyone have experience treating monsteras? Think he’ll pull through?

I probably would have waited a little while before putting the pole in just to allow the roots to get stronger after the repot
