# My friend gifted me a lucky bamboo. She’s really tiny and it appears…

_Pubblicato da Jaime il 2024-08-27_

My friend gifted me a lucky bamboo. She’s really tiny and it appears her little pot is filled with little pebbles, and no drainage. So I guess she’s living in water.

I watered her the other day but ever since he gave her to me, she’s been wrinkled with these discoloration spots. She also had yellow leaves which I read I should remove, so I did.

Is there anything I can do for my new baby?

definitely take it out of that pot. if this were my plant, i would put it in a terra cotta pot with my regular potting soil and some extra perlite 😎☀️

They are set in these no drainage pots to live on water full time. You have to keep an amount of water in it. The pebbles are usually glued to keep the bamboo upright. It’s a novelty. You can’t keep these long term especially with the glue.

I just have my lucky bamboo in a vase w some bottled water. I plan to add pebbles but most lucky bamboo can be water bound.

Also everyone told me to place mine in a very indirect sunlight area.
