# Anyone have an idea what’s going on and how to help my Boat Lily??…

Anyone have an idea what’s going on and how to help my Boat Lily?? She’s turning yellow and getting limp. I only water when the app tells me too, and I water until water runs out of the drainage. She was by the patio door, but recently moved it away bc I thought it was too cold there. But it’s literally the only place in my living room that gets am sun right now. Currently it’s sitting in a spot that gets indirect light in the morning and then it’s dark in the room most the day unless my lights are on. What are your guesses for what’s going on and how to help it?

Personally I don’t think I would’ve changed it from spot unless it was super drafty. Unless you’re going to supplement lighting with a grow light but it sounds like it might be a watering issue. The app isn’t always accurate about watering schedule. Boat lilies like to dry out a bit between waterings. They don’t like to be wet all the time. You’d have to make sure to use your finger to check that 2-3inches into the soil is dry before trying to water it again.

I completely agree on the app watering. I typically use a moisture meter before I water (fingers work great too!). If the meter indicates it has proper moisture for that particular plant then I tell the app to skip. Good luck!
