# I got overly confident in my plant abilities and got a fiddle leaf…

I got overly confident in my plant abilities and got a fiddle leaf fig… mistake number 1, I know. I’ve had it for about a month and it recently started dropping leaves and a few of them have had strange brown areas on them. I haven’t changed anything regarding its care and I use a water bulb to water it as I have found that my figs tend to prefer those of other watering methods. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

If you are sure that it isn’t sunburned, then next thing would be possible root rot. Is it possible you have been overwatering? You may want to check the roots.

Oh nooo! I'm glad i read this bcz I'm thinking the same thing. I feel like i can get a flf but maybe i better not 🤣
