# I’ve been trying to figure this out but my Polka dot begonia has been…

I’ve been trying to figure this out but my Polka dot begonia has been continuously growing little shoots all over, however, right before they turn into a leaf they crumble like this one is doing here. Does anyone know why this is? The dead leaves also don’t fall off and kind of work as a cover for new growth. It’s so interesting

UPDATE:

I was worried about nothing as it turned red and now has polka dots 🤣 apparently that’s what it looks like before the leaves unfold?
