# My Echinopsis Lemon is doing horrible, there is a hole on the bottom…

My Echinopsis Lemon is doing horrible, there is a hole on the bottom of it. Is there any saving this?!?

For something people use as a first time plant, cacti are weirdly picky.

-Wash your cactus off nicely. Do not use soap here.  
-Treat any potential pests with rubbing alcohol or insecticidal soap.  
-In case it’s the roots, give them a short soak in some water with hydrogen peroxide (no longer than 15 minutes)  
-work on stimulating root growth after this, continue to treat for pests and care for it as needed.

If you feel experienced enough, you may be able to just cut off that big hole and bad roots and go straight to getting your plant to grow entirely new (healthy) roots
