Calathea Dottie issue:

Had for 6 months w/o issue. Now several leaves have whatever this is and it slowly spreads up the leaf. I’ve treated with an antifungal with no luck. Gets watered according to a meter. There’s also new leaves unfurling so it’s still growing.

Just do t know what this is or how to treat it

i have this same problem and i can’t figure it out. my new leaves started coming out already looking like that and now it’s stopped growing altogether. idk what to do to fix it

have you checked the root health?

to me it looks like a lack of humidity or water, but it is strange that this only started happenning after 6 month.

also, unfortunatly, water meters arent always accurate. i go by the weight of the pot, and any signs its showing, as i'm familiar enough with mine to know when it feels and looks like they need water.

you can also use a wooden chopstick or skewer to check!
push it all the way to the bottom of the pot, and leave it for a bit. when you take it out, if there are any crumbs of wet soil, you can wait to water. i let my calatheas dry out, but not to the point of them being bone dry, as i err on the side of underwatering to avoid root rot.

if its not a water/humidity problem, the last thing i can think of is pests or too much light. have you recently moved it to a brighter location? have you checked for pests? (altho i have no idea what bug could cause this)
hope this helps!

Light was my thought. It’s been in an east facing window and perhaps now the sun is more direct with the seasonal change?

yeah that makes sense. try moving it from the window a bit and see if it helps :) good luck!
