What might cause this. The rest of the plant is healthy

Could it have gotten damaged somehow?

have you noticed if the leaf is mushy or is it harder and crumbly? it looks like you have new growth coming in that area so i wouldn’t be too worried about it if it were only one leaf. if you notice more falling off and crumpling up it could be a watering issue, but your plant looks beautiful and healthy otherwise i wouldn’t worry unless more start to do the same :)

Agreed. They tend to loose a leaf or two every now and again. It would be good to view some of the videos on YouTube about how to prune your Jade plant so that it becomes strong and sturdy. I left my original Jade to grow wild and it eventually got too heavy and fell over! Now that I know better, I cater its growth to make a sturdy base. There are great tips out there! I now have over 10 successful props and my OG is still growing strong (thankfully). It has been my most rewarding plant. 😍
