Does anyone know what I can do with my philodendron birkin? I’ve been having gnat problems, so I let the soil dry out and got some sticker traps. I haven’t seen gnats anymore, but I just noticed the leaves softening and they have these small yellow spots on most of the leaves. How do I get rid of gnats completely if they come back after watering the plant? If this is a pest problem, can this plant be saved?

Maybe neem oil? It works for a lot of pests

Ask the group about using hydrogen peroxide; you may get some good information.😊💚🪴

I’ve used neem oil in the past, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Another option that will usually always work are systemic granules but use carefully.

This definitely looks like a fungus problem, perhaps black spot. If this is the case, neem oil should work or you could try copper fungicide, or you could try interspersing one with the other. I’ve used both on black spot. But you need to spray the plant for four times, once every seven days. Just in case you didn’t know, these fungal diseases are spread very easily, so, if you have other plants, check them very carefully for the same spots.
Good luck! 😊💚🪴
