# Plumeria help! I’m looking for any thoughts on why the leaf is…

Plumeria help! I’m looking for any thoughts on why the leaf is discolored? It wasn’t yesterday. Any thoughts on the black spots of tar looking substance on the trunk, branches, and under leaves? Also wasn’t there yesterday.

Only thing that was there yesterday are the white spots on the other otherwise normal leaves, which I was trying to figure out what those are as well. It’s new, in full Sun, has only been watered once in about two weeks and plan to once a week.

Looks like mealy bugs from the one leaf that has little cotton bits on it! Got the treatment for it in the image attached

The insecticide I use is the Safer’s End All insecticidal soap
