When adding liquid fertilizer to plants, how do you know how much to add, and do you add it directly to the pot or dilute with water?

dilute with water, and there should be a label with directions on your bottle.
all fertilizers are a little different

Ok, thank you. The reason I ask is because with this app, it will tell me it’s time to water my plants, then two days later it tells me to fertilize them. I worry about giving them too much water and causing root rot. I’m usually not very successful with plants, so I’m trying real hard to keep them alive!

You should absolutely hit snooze or “skip until next time” if you know it’s not time to water yet! You can always go to the plant and choose water or fertilize as an action without using whichever one is prompted today. So for example, if it has a task for today to water but you’d rather fertilize because you haven’t done it in a while, going to the plant and choosing the fertilize action should reset the watering without impacting your schedule. (But it sounds like you want the schedule to be slowed down anyway, so choosing “soil is still wet” when you try to snooze is also good.)

I agree with fuey…I usually mix it by the gallon and use that to water my plants that need fertilizer
