# So like, why isn’t the baby growing?😭😂 Backstory I snipped the baby…

So like, why isn’t the baby growing?😭😂

Backstory I snipped the baby from her mom about 6-8 months ago and put her in a small pot. And she has barely grown. She was barley growing while attached to mom in the first place  
Meanwhile the mom has randomly produced another baby that is thriving .  
I also don’t understand why they are growing different ( middle part specifically)

Starfish are hybrids so they can throw some unique looking pups. The next one could be entirely different.

Did you include some of mom’s roots when you snipped the pup? If not it may just be working on building roots

It’s okay! She’ll start growing, she’s just working on her roots first
