# So I’ve had my ripple jade since December 2023. For the first 8 or so…

So I’ve had my ripple jade since December 2023. For the first 8 or so months that I had it, I lived high up in an apartment with west-facing windows and kept it right on my windowsill. Then I moved to a place with north-facing windows that gets a mix of shade and indirect light. My plant was this size when I got it (4-5 inches tall) and has not grown at ALL in two years. It puts out new leaves all the time and hasn’t behaved any differently in the different light conditions. I know ripple jades get way bigger than this, so what’s going on? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I don’t know this kind of plant, but do you ever fertilize it?

Now, I know you said it got lots of light for the first 8 months, but I just wanted to share that I had a samurai “dwarf” plant that didn’t grow for about 7 years, until I finally clued in that maybe it needs more light and I should feed it sometimes 😅 It got a new leaf! So the dark conditions could be contributing now to the lack of growth.

Good luck!

I use Schultz Cactus drops once a month and mine gets SE Sunlight. I tried a plant light 💡 at first but it wasn’t enough.
