also are the leaves able to be propagated? had to cut one off because someone broke it

The purple markings show the Callisia Fragrans (Basket Plant) is getting sun. They markings become darker and can spread with more sunlight.

You can’t propagate it from just a leaf unless you take tissue cultures. That’s another level of propagation.

I do recommend propagating it from cuttings because this is one of the easiest plants I’ve ever propagated.

I just uploaded the 1 year growth of my basket plant. They are ground covers. They spread like spider plants.

I recommend you repot to a larger pot. A 6” diameter pot will give it room to grow roots and “arms.” See my photo. You can cut sections of the arms to propagate in water. Then, move to soil. 🍀🪴
