# Hi! This is my first dicks pink and the bottom leaves are getting…

Hi! This is my first dicks pink and the bottom leaves are getting dark and a little squishy unlike the top leaves. It’s also not very green (the whole plant has never been green) I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong or what I could do to fix this. Please help!!

It’s likely from over-watering. Check those roots!

Thank you! I checked the roots and I’m pretty sure the bottoms did have root rot. I took off the brown soft ones and there are just white roots left. I repotted it. Is there any hope for it or is it most likely a goner? If it can be fixed what can I do??

Also does anyone know if it’s normal to have such dark purple leaves?
