Can someone tell me what these white patches are on my snake plant? I rescued it from Lowes and it looks pretty healthy otherwise despite some physical damage.

Two things are coming to mind for me what they could be

1- is too much humidity/ not enough airflow (or both)

2- is too much light making it burn

I had rescued a snakeplant that was in Badddddddd shape- i cut off all the leaves lol and months later the baby is thriving (not saying you should do that) but i am saying if the leave seems like its taking energy from the main plant feom growing dont be afraid to chop it off and get rid of the sick leaf

Makes sense cause it was in a self watering pot and was tipped over and crammed on a shelf.. Dont think it got burnt cause it was inside

Ah yea they hate when water touches their leaves XD

I have one, that I know what actually caused it! It was sunburn, because I accidentally left it outside once. It looked exactly like your picture.

Thank you! Will it get better or will it always have the spots?

It hasn’t affected my plant at all. It’s growing and thriving like it should. The spot will never go away but you can cut that stem off if you don’t like it.
