# hii!! i was j wondering if anyone would be able to help me identify…

hii!! i was j wondering if anyone would be able to help me identify this plant first and also i’ve noticed some discoloration and drooping of the leaves and petals and i’m not sure what to do. i’ve tried watering more regularly, changing the amount of sunlight as well as repotting and nothing seems to work. plzzz help :(

Looks like it could be a type of bromeliad - guzmania, maybe?

That definitely is a bromeliad, not sure the type tho. These LOVE water. They should always have some water in the center of their leaves, and if you live in a dryer area, I would mist it as well. I have to mist mine every couple days, and I check them to be sure there’s still some water in the center of it. The leaves act like spoons that take water and run it to the center, so make sure it’s getting enough!
