# HELP! What’s happening to my red aglaonema? Too big for the pot?…

HELP! What’s happening to my red aglaonema? Too big for the pot? Watering issue? I’m confused. It’s been doing great since day 1 then one of the branches fell out of nowhere as it was rotting so I repotted it but in a similar size pot. Not sure what to do next

Have you checked all of it for rot? Or just the part you repotted? (I’m assuming it’s in a different pot than what’s pictured here

It was in a plastic pot before. I discarded the rotted plant and all the soil. Repotted in ceramic pot with new soil

I just read the earlier comments. I’m assuming overwatering. The size of the pot should be based on the size of the root ball. Not the size of the plant itself. So no big then 2 inches larger the the root ball.
