# Hey all, I got this Juniper Bonsai for my girlfriend for xmas.…

Hey all, I got this Juniper Bonsai for my girlfriend for xmas. Unfortunately I did not realize how intensive the care can be for them. She’s been doing well in the Ohio winter. We put her on the dash of our car on super windy days and sub 20 degree nights. I just wanted to check in with some more knowledgeable people. Does she look like she’s doing alright? The photos are front and back. She’s watered every 2-3 weeks and currently, she’s potted in an all purpose bonsai soil, which is pretty rocky. However, I’ve read recently that junipers might do better in an all purpose potting soil. Any input/help is appreciated, thank’s y’all!

Does the pot have drainage holes?

Yes! Its a shallow bonsai pot

Looks pretty good as far as leaf health

Looks good considering your weather, it looks like it could use a pruning on the dead leaves.  
Getting rid of excess leaves will allow the ones you to keep thrive as they need airflow too
