# Newbie to Bonsai here. This is my first tree, a schefflera…

Newbie to Bonsai here. This is my first tree, a schefflera arboricola. Just gave it a prune for its birthday. This is the first time sheers/scissors have touched it since I first put it in this new pot. I’m looking for any/all advice moving forward. And maybe what I could have done better. (Added some before and after photos.)

Looks good I would chose a branch at the top to become the new trunk and clip the one next to it to give more energy to the main branch.
