# Hi! I have a patio that gets light during the day but direct sunlight…

Hi! I have a patio that gets light during the day but direct sunlight only during sunset (facing West). There are walls on either side of the patio that block some light. I brought some herbs inside because it’s still cold in Denver, CO at night. Is this enough sunlight generally for plants? Should I maybe get a small grow light that I could move around a little?

I am starting with some herbs (soil and pots on the way) before I try any other plants. I want to become better at keeping plants but I tend to kill them. So I want to make sure I can do it before the investment in others!
