I use SaferHome plug in with amazing results. Even soil that has a gnat problem will eventually stop because they all go straight to the light. I’ll also use the yellow sticky traps that you put right in the soil but they’re unsightly so I usually stick to the plug in. It def takes a while to get every single one though.

Systemic insecticides will kill larvae! Not sure which brand is best though.

Laughing hollowly. We recently moved right next to a big park with a wild garden and gnats are the bane of my life now.

YES to the yellow sticky traps - ugly but very satisfying.

I’ve also used diamatecous earth which helped but also made the plants slightly waterlogged and I had to spoon it off.

May be worth looking into Nematodes? I’m trying them now - no insights as yet.
