# New monstera momma! Got this beauty on Sunday, I’ve always wanted…

New monstera momma! Got this beauty on Sunday, I’ve always wanted one! But I’m so afraid I’ll kill it. I’ve killed a ZZPlant 🙄. I just repot this today, roots were growing out the drainage holes, cleaned up the roots a little and all that, gave her some water. Question is, these leaves, will they perk up if everything goes well? It had a yellow leaf when I bought it, and it wasn’t super dry, so I’m hoping what I did will be enough that if it survives the root shock they’ll perk up. The rest look fine. Any tips would be awesome!

They are pretty resilient/hardy plants. Give it some time to acclimate to your home. It should perk back up. It looks pretty good from the picture.

I let my two monsteras dry all the way out before watering again.
