Any pro tips on re potting my monstera?! Her rotts are popping through the bottom of her pot! I just got Matilda off the swap page, should I wait a month to let her readjust in her new home?!!

Last thing I want is to upset her but I also want her to thrive in a bigger pot!!!

I know a lot of people suggest waiting but I almost never do 😬 I figure get all the stress out of the way at once — it’s worked for me so far.

Just be gentle and get it into something nice and chunky and let the adjustment period begin! Good luck 😊

Same here! I also want to check the roots as soon as I get a new plant, and change out the soil to something I’m already familiar with so I have a better idea of when it needs to be watered. So far it’s worked out for my plants

Yeah repot immediately, that’s what I did and my monstera is just thriving! Also maybe give her something to lean on, like a moss pole or trellis

I used an aroid mix and potting soil blended together, and a pot as big as the roots when the root ball uncoiled (bigger than I would have thought) and she’s done very well.
